Equivalent example programs are available for C, Java, F90, F77, and C++ APIs.

User-contributed program examples are also included for Python, Perl, MATLAB, and IDL. (We still need equivalent Ruby examples.)
We welcome instructive new examples, in any language. Send your example, which should include a program to write a file, and another to read it, to support-netcdf@unidata.ucar.edu.
