15.9 Using nccopy with netCDF-4 data

The nccopy utility can convert between classic format files (including 64-bit offset files) and netCDF-4 classic model files.

With nccopy, you can

specify a compression level for the output
specify chunk sizes for the output
convert unlimited dimensions in trhe input to fixed dimensions in the output
uncompress all data in the output
