The NOAA National Weather Service MicroART upper air system at Fort
Worth, Texas (WMO # 72249), will be decommissioned on or about November
30, 2007, and installation of the new Radiosonde Replacement System
(RRS) will begin. No upper air observations will be provided from this
office while RRS is being installed.
Beginning December 10, 2007, or shortly thereafter, upper air
observations will be issued using the RRS and GPS Mark IIA Sippican
radiosondes.
