Hi,
I hope someone can clear this up for me, please:
Is it still required to download the replacement pnetcdf.h file, to
install netCDF 4.2.1.1 with pnetcdf 1.3.1, as per the instructions here
http://www.unidata.ucar.edu/software/netcdf/docs/build_parallel.html ?
I've downloaded the file and it looks pretty old:
$ grep '$Id:' /tmp/pnetcdf.h
/* "$Id: pnetcdf.h 560 2007-08-06 22:44:48Z robl $" */
The pnetcdf.h.in distributed with pnetcdf 1.3.1 however, looks quite new:
grep '$Id:' ./src/lib/pnetcdf.h
/* "$Id: pnetcdf.h.in 1087 2012-08-16 11:17:06Z wkliao $" */
The newer one is much bigger, too (96Kb vs. 68Kb).
If the replacement header is still required, at what point do I need to
copy it in? After the configure step for pnetcdf or after it's been built
and installed?
I note that I tried building without the replacment header file and netCDF
builds and passes all of the automated tests.
Many thanks,
Mark
