The Iowa State University gempak archive has substantial availability of data and model grid files - For example this directory has the HRS feeds for model files for 1 January 2001:

Unfortunatley the NCDC nomads site has forecast model data on the NAM, GFS, and RUC but the data only goes back to 2005. Do anybody know if and where we can get forecast model data that goes back to 1993? Help is appreciated, thanks.
