Re: [gembud] Decoding ECMWF OpenData grib2 files with wgrib2/GEMPAK

Hi Robert,

I don't have that file, and a quick search comes up empty... but as a first
stab, maybe try copying either g2varswmo2.tbl or g2varswmo3.tbl to
g2varswmo34.tbl in the gempak/tables/grid directory and see if maybe that gets
you somewhere? Might be a bunch of undefined or incorrectly identified
variables, but might get you going in the right direction?

Good luck..

Pete

Subject: [gembud] Decoding ECMWF OpenData grib2 files with wgrib2/GEMPAK

Hello,

Is anyone successfully decoding OpenData ECMWF grib2 files with GEMPAK after
converting with wgrib2?

After using wgrib2 to convert file to complex3 grib type, I gte this error when
running dcgrib2:

[1736142] 251117/1822[GB -31] Could not open parameter table file
g2varswmo34.tbl

I don’t see a g2varswmo34.tbl in latest GEMPAK release on Github. Anyone have a
workaround?

Thanks,

Robert Mullenax
