HP,
Did you ever get a reply back from Simon Elliott about the status of the files?
My decoder says they are GRIB1 and it needs tables:
center sub table#
1 3 21
1 80 21
I couldn't find the information about the tables on the page you sent me, so it
hard to decode the data. Also, it appears that the GDS section of the data is
static, so I would need that information also.
Let me also mention that GRIB1 decoder modifications are on a lower priority
because NCEP is moving all the GRIB1 models to GRIB2 format.

New Client Reply: problems reading GRIB2
Hi Robb
Thank you for looking into EUMETSAT's GRIB-coded products.
I am rather astonished that you see GRIB1 code. EUMETSAT is supposed to have
changed to GRIB2 this year. Please consult
http://www.eumetsat.int/Home/Main/Access_to_Data/Meteosat_Meteorological_Products/BUFR___GRIB2/index.htm?l=en
for further information (disregard all what is said about the situation prior
to 3rd July 2006). On the same page you also find a link to the GRIB tables
stored at ECMWF, which I suppose are the relevant ones.
In any case I copy this email to Simon Elliott, who happens to be EUMETSAT's
GRIB/BUFR guru. He might chime in as well.
Cheers, HP
