Web Development Status Report

Current items worked on:

• Migration of mailing list/support-related email interactions continues to Mailman and Jive forums.
• Bug fixes are being implemented in the the customized Jive/Mailman code as they are discovered.
• A SSL signed certificate was purchased and integrated into the Unidata web site for improved security.
• Jira (bug/issue tracking web application package) was installed on conan for use by the THREDDS group.
• The Unidata web site is in the process of being redesigned to incorporate changes to the mailing list system and correct some usability issues in the current site. The redesign will also include the use of a new web application that allows staff members to manage web site content in an easier fashion.
• Jen and Tom are developing an alternate method of integrating eSupport into Unidata's web site. eSupport developers web site-inte gration functionality on their list of things to do, but have not given an estimate as to when this will be available. Jen has started looking at a way of 'bridging' the two pieces of software and databases as a means of integration. After the eSupport solution is available, Unidata will utilize that.
